Sunny Greene, PhD

Regional Coordinator, North/ Far North & San Francisco/Bay Area

Sunny Greene currently serves as one of the four Guided Pathways Regional Coordinators for the Bay Area. For over 25 years she has served students in educational settings from ages Birth to Preschool and grades K-12 as a school psychologist, and adults at College of the Siskiyous as an academic counselor, director/counselor in Disabled Students Programs & Services (DSPS), Learning Disabilities (LD) Specialist, instructor and articulation officer.  She also served as the Guided Pathways co-lead for Siskiyous. Sunny is a proud alumna of College of the Siskiyous earning her Associate of Arts, and developing her interest in psychology and service to others during this time. Sunny earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Oregon State University with a Human Services Certificate. She earned her Masters of Arts degree in Education with a Clear Pupil Personnel Credential in School Psychology from the University of California, Davis. She has a Ph.D. in Education, Community College Leadership specialization from Walden University. Her program used a social justice lens in her studies and interest in Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Her dissertation examined teacher learning and the use of a UDL technology tool in teaching basic skills math in community colleges. She has a passion in UDL and its use in higher education. She is also finishing her 4-year term as an elected board member for the Siskiyou Union High School District. On a personal note, Sunny loves spending time with her family and friends and working on her Bucket (of Life) list.
