Shauna Turner

With a passion for building a more equitable educational system, Shauna Turner joined the Foundation for California Community Colleges as a Program Specialist, participating in program and project planning, implementation, and reporting on multiple higher education student success initiatives.  Prior to joining the Foundation for California Community Colleges, Shauna served her community as a Program Facilitator with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, working with several subsidized childcare programs.  Shauna also spent over four years supporting the Office of Student Success and Equity at Bakersfield College, where she gained an abundance of experience working with multiple categorical funds and assisting with budget reporting.  Shauna states that she resonates with many of the California Community College students and their experience of being a mix of first generation, adult-learners, and being a parent while on their educational journey.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2019.
