Michelle Stricker, MS

Michelle Stricker currently serves as the Lead Regional Coordinator for the Central Far South region made up of colleges within the Central Valley, Inland Empire and San Diego areas. She found a love for helping students access and achieve in college while still a student herself at Kings River Community College (now Reedley College) when she was hired as an outreach Student Ambassador. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Fresno State that passion for helping students led her to pursue an MS in Counseling and Personnel Services with a Concentration in School Counseling from the University of Memphis.
A desire to help students better define their path and educational goals led her to specialize in the area of career counseling where she spent 12+ years working with students to achieve their career goals in both University and Community College settings. A need to help better affect policy and work toward systemic change led her to take a position as Matriculation Coordinator for Reedley College where she worked in outreach, student success and even hired and trained student ambassadors for her alma mater. Most recently Michelle’s work has concentrated on the intersection of technology with student services, leveraging legislative mandates to break down silos, and creating cross-functional teams to facilitate systemic change. Her background in the areas of counseling, matriculation, and student success has instilled in her a profound desire to help students navigate the complicated world of higher education from application to graduation through the work of guided pathways.
