Content Specialist

Chema Salinas is the Success Center’s Content Specialist. His primary role is helping develop content for the Vision Resource Center. He began his career in professional audio and multimedia production well before earning his associates degree from Sacramento City College. He continued working in those fields, and others, while earning his bachelor’s degree in communication from Sacramento State University. He began working in higher education upon entering graduate school in 2007, first as a graduate teaching associate at Sacramento State University while earning his master’s degree in communication, then as a faculty associate during his PhD program, also in communication with a focus on rhetoric and performance studies, at Arizona State University. After graduating from ASU in 2013, Chema continued teaching in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication as a full-time instructor. After returning to Sacramento, he maintained a full class load online for ASU as well as another full course load adjuncting in-person at Sacramento State. He still plays with multimedia and other fun things that can be heard, felt, or seen.
