Beth Kay

Beth Kay’s 20 years redesigning and starting public high schools and non-profits, positions her well to lead the statewide professional development work of the Success Center. Ms. Kay has been with the Foundation since 2014 and currently directs the implementation of the Vision Resource Center, on behalf of the Chancellor’s Office, to support all 90,000 employees of the California Community Colleges.
Ms Kay has previously led NAF’s statewide work as their California Director. Ms Kay also served Sacramento City Unified School District as the founding principal of The Met Sacramento, an innovative small school, part of the Big Picture Learning network. Prior to 2002, Ms Kay was a high school science teacher and administrator in Massachusetts for nine years. She is a former Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Benin, West Africa.
Ms. Kay is a graduate of The University of Chicago and Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
