Adult Learner-Focused Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM)

SEM PLANNING INTENTIONALLY FOCUSED ON ADVANCING THE SUCCESS OF ADULT STUDENTS AND STUDENTS OF COLOR

The Adult Learner-Focused Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) project includes 15 of the 20 colleges participating in the REACH Collaborative. Building on their Guided Pathways efforts, this project seeks to help them advance the enrollment, retention, and completion of adult learners and people of color. With 4 in 10 California community college students “adult learners” (age 25+) and more than four million Californians of color ages 25-54 without degrees, adult learners of color are a critical student population to help colleges meet the Vision for Success and Student-Centered Funding Formula goals.

All colleges are receiving technical assistance and coaching from the American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). AACRAO will guide colleges to develop a comprehensive, equity-focused, and student-centered SEM plan.

All Adult Learner-Focused SEM resources and materials are available to all colleges in the Vision Resource Center within the CCC | REACH Community.
