Student Assistant

Jimena Loza-Naveja is a Student Assistant in the Business Operations unit. She is currently enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science, as well as a minor in Journalism. Prior to her enrollment in UC Berkeley, she began her higher education process at Sacramento City College, where she received her A.A. in Political Science. After completing her undergraduate studies, she plans on attending law school. At Sacramento City College, she held the position of Secretary of Public Relations for the Club and Events Board, which allowed her to provide important resources to students during the pandemic. At the University of California, Berkeley, she has taken leadership roles that help uplift and inspire marginalized communities. Some of the roles include Philanthropy Chair for her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, where she hosts events and workshops that focus on "Building Strong Girls". Additionally, she is also a Co-Chair of the Forum Committee for the Latin American Leadership Society. Through this role, she helps host panelists that raise awareness of issues that are occurring in Latin America and how students can help. These different roles have equipped Jimena to best assist the Business Operations team and the Success Center. She is eager to help and is excited to help achieve the goals of the Foundation to continue to develop California Community Colleges.
