Maeve Katherine Bergman, JD

Katherine Bergman currently serves as one of four Guided Pathways Regional Coordinators (GPRC) for the San Francisco Bay Area region with the Foundation for California Community Colleges. She was an inaugural member of the Bay Area-based GPRC team serving 28 colleges for the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in 2018. Before collaborating statewide with students, faculty, and staff on re/design of K12/CC, adult ed/noncredit, and guided pathways for more equitable educational outcomes, Katherine gained experience within Bay Area K12 schools and community colleges, including as Berkeley City College’s Dean of Special Projects, and lead for the Laney Green Jobs Training programs. Katherine earned her BS in Conservation and Resources Studies with a minor in Education at UC Berkeley, LLMs in Taxation and Environmental Law at Golden Gate University, Green MBA at the Dominican University of California, and JD in public interest law at the University of San Francisco. Her equity experiences include: K-14/16 student, faculty, staff, and administrator community of practice facilitation, collaborative resource development and integrated planning, as well as intersegmental program implementation and institutionalization. On a more personal note, Katherine relishes finding new places to eat out with family and friends, being near and in water, particularly the sea, as well as time at home growing, cooking, and making things.
